Manor House Multi Room Audio
A discrete approach was imperative when we were asked to install a distributed music system at this manor House in Oxfordshire. Nine spaces required music including two outside areas and all arecontrolled using carefully positioned keypads.
Most of the rooms use Bose Acoustimass speakers which have small satellite speakers and bass boxes. All the bass units were hidden under window seats and in other discrete positions (the kitchen has two built in to the base of the island).
Music is stored on a hard disc storage device and fed to the various rooms using the QED multiroom distribution system. The local keypads also control the Radio, Sky HD and DVD functions.
More recently, a Cinema has been installed featuring a Sim 2 projector, Arcam Electronics and Bose loudspeakers. The electric drop-down screen, Sky HD box, projector and Arcam equipment are all controlled using a Philips Pronto Touchscreen.
